Realizing the unreal

Time to introduce myself: 27, political scientist based at the University of Hamburg and currently hidden between loads of books and papers on agricultural politics, trade, tariffs, international organisations, gender, hegemony and discours analysis. Oh yes, there's one almost invisible cup of fair-trade coffee somewhere in between (:
One of my current research topics is an analysis of the institutions and different discourses on national and international agricultural politics. Another topic is my PhD thesis which will explore certain aspects of the ongoing negotiations between the EU and the ACP states. In brief that's why my project coordinator and me are going to visit the WTO conference and its different side events in order to do research and many many interviews with politicians, NGO activists, media correspondents and everyone else we will come across.
Still it all seems quite unreal what will happen in a few weeks time. Hopefully my accreditation will appear in my e-mail folder tomorrow morning...
In this weblog I'd like to give some coverage of the conference from my point of view. Feel free to comment & contribute (:
